We do a revenue split with our coaches which is normally 50% for the coach with another 20% if they recommended the client. We pay monthly by cheque or PayPal. That allows us to work harder to help and work towards greater profits. The survey focused a lot on habits and people tell me all the time that we helped them start flossing.
But coach, I excel at much bigger goals. We help people start new businesses, get promotions, lose weight and run marathons. I believe that our business advisors can help people earn a billion dollars in extra wages. Ok, let me edit that a bit: IT MAY BE a business, but it needs a few other things combined with it to turn it into a business that really makes money (because a business that doesn't make money is a hobby, and I've seen a lot of life coaching fans in my day) DOES NOT have to train other coaches or coaches companies to make it work.
The range for a serious coach who trusts us for clients is from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars per month. This may seem like a lot to charge from the start, but people will pay 5 figures for personalized training services. Digital coaching needs different training because it is radically different from traditional coaching. Over time, I promoted my coaching services several times a month directly on my email list, using emails and then adding webinars and teleclasses.
After seeing hundreds of coaching relationships fall apart due to a coach not practicing strong listening skills, I have really begun to reevaluate my own active listening skills. Because there are things they don't tell you in coaching school about starting a life coaching business (or any business really, but let's focus on life coaches, because they are often the ones with big hearts and dreams and who are often most defeated by the reality of running a coaching business). And I totally understand where all the life coaches come from and why they think it should be quite easy to build their new coaching business. But here's the thing (something you may have already learned), something that sounds great, and people saying that life coaching sounds interesting or inspiring, does NOT mean that those people are willing to pay you for it.
Then, at the end of each Advancement Session, if the person seemed to be a good fit for training, I offered them an individual training package. Some coaches intend to do this weekly or monthly, just as in-person coaches meet regularly with their clients. That's a lesson for everyone with practice and hard work, you can become an amazing coach. I have also surveyed real coaches in different areas to get real income figures, because I believe in verifying my data.
Therefore, we developed a training program on how to train leaders at the staff level and implemented it in this company.
